Precious metals performed strongly in March supported by falling interest rate expectations, a weakening US dollar, safe-haven status in the wake of the Silicon Valley Bank crisis, and strong demand from China.
The price of silver was up almost 14% this month on Friday, trading hands at about US$24.15 per ounce.
Gold also added about 8% in March, surpassing $2,000 to nearly reach its previous 2020 record price during the month, but had fallen to about $1987 on Friday.
