Globex Mining says Orford Mining discovers new gold zone on Joutel Eagle Property in Quebec

Globex Mining Enterprises Inc informed shareholders that Orford Mining (TSX-V:ORM) Corporation has reported drilling a possible new gold bearing horizon 150 meters (m) to the north of the South Gold Zone on the Joutel Eagle Property in Quebec.

Globex said hole 23-JE-007 intersected 1.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 16.1m from 201m metres, including higher grade intervals of up to 4.5 g/t gold over 1.1m, in a previously untested area of the Joutel Eagle Property.

“The 2023 drill campaign on our Joutel Eagle property has proven that the property has tremendous potential value with the discovery of a new zone 150 metres to the north of the South Gold Zone,” Orford Mining (TSX-V:ORM) CEO David Christie said in a statement.

“Drilling on the South Gold Zone continues to prove mineralized continuity along strike which was the main purpose of the program,” he added.

The company noted that the majority of assays from the recently-completed 2023 drill program are pending.

Orford entered into an option agreement to acquire 100% of the 50 square-kilometer Joutel Eagle Project from Globex in November 2021.

Globex is a Toronto Stock Exchange, Frankfurt and OTCQX-listed corporation with a diversified North American portfolio of mid-stage exploration, development and royalty properties containing precious metals, base metals, specialty metals and minerals, and industrial minerals and compounds.
