Avicanna closed up 18% at $0.45, while Baylin Technologies gained 10% to $0.495, KORE Mining finished 83% higher to $0.055, and Predictmedix ended up 9% at $0.12.
11:55am: Avicanna, Baylin Technologies (TSX:BYL) shares make big gains
Avicanna Inc (TSX:AVCN, OTCQX:AVCNF) shares jumped 18% to $0.45 on Tuesday after the biopharmaceutical company focused on the advancement and commercialization of cannabinoid-based products announced that Shoppers Drug Mart has selected the company as its partner to transition its Medical Cannabis by Shoppers business.

As well, shares of Baylin Technologies (TSX:BYL) continued to move higher Tuesday, up 8% to $0.485 following a 34% gain on Monday, as the diversified global technology company said its Advantech Wireless Technologies subsidiary has received a C$537,000 purchase order from a major US Government Systems Integrator specifically for the US Department of Defense for its frequency converters.
KORE Mining Ltd (TSXV:KORE), meanwhile, reported that the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California has denied a motion by NGO's to overturn authorization granted by the United States Forest Service of KORE's proposed drill program at the Long Valley Gold Project in California. KORE Mining stock moved up 50% to $0.045 following the announcement.
And, Predictmedix Inc. (CSE:PMED, OTCQB:PMEDF) shares rose 9% to $0.12 on Tuesday after the provider of rapid health screening and remote patient care solutions announced that its AI-powered technology powering the Safe Entry Station was featured in a major Indonesian newspaper on March 27, confirming the effectiveness of the technology as well as its potential for healthcare.
