RespireRx Pharmaceuticals (OTC:RSPI) Ltd has announced the appointment of Joseph Siegelbaum to the company’s board as an independent director, effective March 22, 2023.
The biopharma firm said Siegelbaum, a former partner at the law firm of Goodwin Procter LLP in New York until his retirement at the end of 2021, served as a member of the board of directors and president of the New York March of Dimes from 2004 through 2022.
“He is an invaluable addition to the team,” RespireRx Pharmaceuticals (OTC:RSPI) interim CEO Arnold Lippa said in a statement.

Siegelbaum also commented, stating: “I am very excited to join the RespireRx Board and believe that the assets under development at the company are promising and potentially able to deliver important clinical benefit to very under-served patient groups.”
RespireRx is a leader in the discovery and development of medicines for the treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders, with a focus on treatments that address conditions affecting millions of people, but for which there are few or poor treatment options.
ResolutionRx is developing dronabinol, a synthetic version of the naturally occurring substance in the cannabis plant, for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea.
Collectively, RespireRx and ResolutionRx are leaders in the discovery and development of innovative and revolutionary treatments to combat diseases caused by the disruption of neuronal signalling.
