CleanTech Lithium PLC (AIM:CTL, OTCQB:CTLHF) said it has strengthened its boardroom in a move it said was to prepare for the next phase of the Chile-focused junior's development.
Steve Kesler becomes executive chairman from non-executive chair previously, while Maha Daoudi has been appointed as its new independent non-executive director.
Kesler joined CleanTech Lithium in September 2021 with a background of developing major mining projects in Chile and elsewhere over a 45-year career.
Daoudi, who previously held senior roles at trading giant Trafigura and in other commodities and offtake roles, will take on Kesler's position on the audit and remuneration committees.
CleanTech added that both appointments had been made to support chief executive Aldo Boitano and the executive team in bringing the Laguna Verde lithium project into production in late 2025.
In a statement, Boitano said: "I am delighted that Steve is moving to Executive Chairman and Maha is joining the company on our journey to producing the greenest lithium for the EV market.
“They both bring a diverse set of skills that will help drive the company into the next phase, all the while strengthening our position in the lithium market.”
