AIQ shares jump on new ‘virtual datacentre’ contract

AIQ Ltd (LSE:AIQ) shares shot up 42% in Monday morning’s trade as the company announced a new contract for a virtual datacentre.

The contract, worth US$458,600, was a boon for the micro-cap firm which will be project manager and subcontract the technical delivery. The project is expected to be delivered over the span of seven months, with payments being made in tranches.

"We are delighted to have received this contract, which is from a new customer,” executive director Edwin Li said in a statement.

“Following our successful delivery of a DeFi DEX and an NFT marketplace, it is great to now be providing a virtual datacentre - another key element of IT infrastructure. We look forward to delivering this project and to continuing to expand our business."

In London, AIQ shares were up 2.35p or 42.73% to trade at 7.85p, which gives the company a market value of £5.08mln.
