Syngenta AG said sales were up 19% last year and cited China as a driving force behind that growth.
Revenues from the Swiss agri-giant reached US$33.4bn with all business units experiencing double-digit growth. Full-year underlying earnings (EBITDA) increased 20% to a record high of US$5.6bn.
The group has been focusing on regenerative agriculture and innovative sustainable technologies to address climate change, improve soil health and protect biodiversity and water quality.
In China, Syngenta Group's MAP sales grew 76% to US$3.1bn in 2022, with the number of MAP centres increasing by 136 to a total of 628.
Its digital solutions have been adopted on 218mln acres globally, with high demand from farmers in key markets, investors were told.
