South Star Battery Metals Corp. (TSX-V:STS, OTCQB:STSBF) CEO Richard Pearce joined Proactive's Steve Darling to share news the company achieved a major milestone with the release of a maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) at the BamaStar graphite project in Alabama.
Pearce tells Proactive the independent MRE includes 520,000 tonnes of contained graphite with an open pit-constrained mineral resource estimate of 22 million tonnes of inferred resources at an average grade of 2.4% graphitic carbon, based on a 1.1% cut-off grade.
Pearce also said the company's next drill program will begin in May and will be used to support a preliminary economic assessment planned for the first quarter of 2024.
