Orla Mining stock climbs on production results plus more daily small cap movers

More and less costly gold production boosted shares of Orla Mining Ltd Friday plus other big percentage movers on news from the small and micro cap space

4:05pm: Tiziana Life Sciences shares add to gains late day

Orla Mining closed up 9% at $5.99, Tiziana Life Sciences surged 22% to $0.67, EYEfi Group Technologies finished 17% higher to $0.35, and Maple Gold Mines ended up 6% at $0.17.

12:55pm: Orla Mining, EYEfi Group Technologies shares make big gains

Orla Mining Ltd (TSX:OLA) shares jumped 15% to $6.30 on Friday after the gold and silver miner announced that its total gold production for 2022 was 109,596 ounces, achieving the high end of its increased annual production guidance, while its all-in sustaining costs (AISC) for the year came in at the low end of its guidance at US$611 per ounce.

As well, shares of Tiziana Life Sciences Ltd (NASDAQ:TLSA) gained 9% to $0.60 as the biotechnology company said it has received positive coverage in an article on Forbes which highlighted foralumab, its unique intranasal monoclonal antibody currently in clinical development to treat multiple sclerosis and other neurodegenerative diseases.

EYEfi Group Technologies Inc (CSE:EGTI), meanwhile, reported that Telstra Corporation Limited, Australia's largest Telco, has placed another order for $200,000 for the EYEfi Cloud, Automated Incident Management (AIM) product used by the Victorian Government's Department of Transport (DoT), and by Melbourne Water Corporation (MWC) for wildfire management. EYEfi Group Technologies stock moved up 17% to $0.35 following the announcement.

And, Maple Gold Mines Ltd (TSX-V:MGM, OTCQB:MGMLF) shares rose 6% to $0.17 on Friday after the Canadian advanced exploration company provided an update on a number of ongoing exploration activities, while gearing up for the next phase of drilling at its 100%-controlled Eagle Mine property in Québec.

Maple Gold noted that drill target definition and permitting have been initiated for a planned 5,000-metre follow-up drill program in 2023 that will test undrilled zones with significant grade and volume potential.
