4:05pm: VolitionRx (NYSE-A:VNRX) shares add to gains late day
Q Battery Metals closed up 21% at $0.145, VolitionRx Limited rose 12% to $1.72, Reliq Health Technologies finished 5% higher to $0.51, and Japan Gold (TSX-V:JG) ended up 18% at $0.26.
11:55am: Q Battery Metal, VolitionRx (NYSE-A:VNRX) shares advance sharply
Q Battery Metals Corp (CSE:QMET) shares climbed 21% to $0.145 on Thursday after the Canadian mineral exploration company announced that it will be concentrating its exploration efforts in 2023 on its lithium projects, in particular the La Corne South Lithium project in Quebec.
Q Battery noted the exploration work, which is expected to begin in April 2023, will involve a combination of prospecting, mapping and rock sampling, combined with soil sampling and geophysical surveying.
As well, shares of VolitionRx (NYSE-A:VNRX) Limited (NYSE AMERICAN:VNRX) gained 9% to $1.68 as the multi-national epigenetics company said its annual revenue came in at about $300,000 for the year to December 31, 2022, up 240% over the prior year, as it ‘shifts gears’ towards its goal of becoming a commercial company with products.

Reliq Health Technologies Inc (TSXV:RHT), meanwhile, reported that it has signed a new contract with a large healthcare system with more than 1,200 care centres, which is expected to add more than 2,000 new patients per month to Reliq’s iUGO Care platform by the end of 2023, at an average revenue of $65 per patient per month. Reliq Health Technologies stock moved up 9% to $0.53 following the announcement.
And, Japan Gold (TSX-V:JG) Corp shares rose 18% to $0.26 on Thursday after the mineral exploration company announced the start of drilling at the Barrick Alliance Mizobe Project in southern Kyushu, Japan, which is one of six projects selected by Barrick to advance to the second evaluation phase under the Strategic Alliance Agreement.
Japan Gold (TSX-V:JG) added that an initial reconnaissance phase of three widely spaced, 500 metre deep drill holes are planned at Mizobe, targeting the concealed extensions of gold-bearing antimony-rich hydrothermal breccias for gold-rich feeder-veins.
