Greatland Gold said good progress is being made with the mine development at Havieron with gold and copper also identified outside of the current resource area.
Havieron, in the Paterson region of Western Australia, is being built by Newcrest, which has a 70% stake in the project with Greatland holding the remainder.
In a statement, Greatland said recent advances had taken the total decline to over 1,850m with the main access decline now at 1,520m.
That is around 10% ahead of schedule due to improved ground conditions, Greatland added.
Drilling in the Northern and Eastern Breccias meanwhile had produced best results of 29.9m at 3.9g/t gold from 945.1m and 57m at 2.1g/t from 1,262m respectively.
Shaun Day, managing director, added the recent drilling has highlighted the potential of high-grade mineralisation outside the Southeast Crescent, "which could add significant value to the mine plan at Havieron with additional gold and copper mineralisation intersected at the Northern and Eastern Breccia zones”.
Total drilling at Havieron now amounts to 331 holes covering 293,878m.
