Cobra Resources Plc (LSE:COBR) said it has started a new round of drilling at its Wudinna project in Australia.
Permits and agreements are in place to drill 20 reverse circulation (RC) holes for approximately 2,600 metres (m).
Of these, four drill holes will aim to extend a 104,000 ounce gold resource at the Barns prospect and test up-dip and along-strike extensions
Three drill holes will test eastern and southern structural extensions to the 13,000 ounce gold resource at the White Tank prospect
The remainder will infill and test strike extensions both north and south of the Clarke prospect.
In a statement, Rupert Verco, Cobra chief executive, commented: “This field programme is anticipated to provide significant value to the company's primary asset - the Wudinna Project.
“RC drilling will support a considerable gold resource update later this year, where the inclusion of Clarke will see further growth to our unique resource base."
