Tremor International shares fall after denying sale speculation

Tremor International Ltd (AIM:TRMR) saw its shares fall in early trading after the company denied that it was currently in talks to sell the business.

The advertising technology company whose directors include Rebekah Brooks, the boss of The Sun newspaper's publisher, was responding to recent press speculation.

The company confirmed it is in discussions with Goldman Sachs as an ongoing financial adviser but “is not currently in a sale process.”

“From time to time, the company receives inquiries, and the board evaluates such inquiries, as applicable, together with its financial advisor,” Tremor said in a statement.

But the company added that it “continues to believe in the stand-alone prospects of the business, and also recognizes its fiduciary duties to its shareholders.”

Shares in Tremor fell 7.2% in early exchanges to 244p in London on Wednesday.
