Global Lithium Resources Ltd (ASX:GL1) has highlighted the exploration upside of the Manna Lithium Project in Western Australia with high-grade lithium results in extensional drilling, pointing to a large north-eastern extension of the existing deposit.
Highlight intercepts from the company’s 2022 reverse circulation (RC) drilling program include:
- 19 metres at 1.20% lithium from 263 metres;
- 17 metres at 1.76% lithium from 341 metres;
- 15 metres at 1.72% lithium from 277 metres;
- 15 metres at 1.66% lithium from 355 metres;
- 13 metres at 1.58% lithium from 403 metres;
- 11 metres at 1.58% lithium from 222 metres;
- 10 metres at 1.07% lithium from 257 metres; and
- 10 metres at 1.39% lithium from 301 metres.
The Manna Project’s mineral resource estimate currently sits at 32.7 million tonnes at 1.00% lithium and 44 parts per million tantalum, part of a larger combined resource within the Marble Bar Lithium Project of 50.7 million tonnes at 1.00% lithium.
Potential to add materially to Manna resource
“I am very pleased with these exceptional assay results within the new north-eastern extension of the Manna Lithium deposit,” Global Lithium Resources general manager of exploration Stuart Peterson said.
“These results have increased our confidence that this new area could potentially hold significant tonnes and the company will continue to build on the existing Manna Resource.
“The exploration team have planned a large scale, 35,000-metre drilling program that is targeted to drill out and define new prospective areas within Manna.
“Our team continues to work hard to understand the extent of the possible strike length of the deposit outside of our current resource estimate.”
