Blue-chip housebuilders continue to report, with Berkeley following Vistry earlier in the week and rivals Persimmon and Taylor Wimpey reported a week earlier, both announcing a strong step-up in selling rate but Persimmon shares tumbling as it warned that a drop in expected completions in 2023 would hit margins. Falling house prices are also likely to be alluded to.
Elsewhere will be the big macro data of the week, US non-farm payrolls.
