4:05pm: Predictmedix shares add to gains late day
Meridian Mining closed up 17% at $0.48, while NuGen Medical Devices gained 10% to $0.215, Predictmedix finished 23% higher to $0.135, and New Destiny Mining ended up 54% at $0.10.
11:50am: Meridian Mining, New Destiny Mining shares make big gains
Meridian Mining UK S (TSX:MNO) shares climbed 24% to $0.51 on Monday after the Brazil-focused resource explorer/developer announced what it called positive results of the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the Cabaçal gold-copper deposit in Brazil, which included after-tax net present value (NPV5) of US$573 million, a 58.4% internal rate of return (IRR), and a 10.6 month payback.
As well, shares of NuGen Medical Devices Inc (TSXV:NGMD) continued to move higher Monday, up 13% to $0.22 following a 15% gain on Friday, as the specialty medical device company said independent studies confirmed that its needle-free injection device, InsuJet, provides up to 40% faster insulin uptake in diabetic patients versus needle injections.
Predictmedix Inc. (CSE:PMED, OTCQB:PMEDF), meanwhile, reported a purchase agreement with Defspace, an India-based global platform for defence, space and aerospace, for the company's Safe Entry's Fit for Duty screening, which is valued at about $500,000 for the entire term. Predictmedix stock moved up 18% to $0.13 following the announcement.

And, New Destiny Mining Corp (TSXV:NED) shares jumped 62% to $0.105 on Monday after the company announced that it has secured a 100% interest in the Indigo Graphite Property from a private company, Lumin Graphite Corp.
