Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD) said its environment business has secured a place on Southern Water’s new AMP8 framework for medium non-infrastructure works.
AMP8 refers to a five-year asset management plan beginning in 2025 that is used in the English and Welsh water industry.
Activities covered under the framework, according to a statement from the construction group, include capital asset maintenance schemes, support and delivery of emerging needs and environmental improvement programmes.
The £600mln framework is for an initial 39-month period, with an extension option to 57 months, and covers works across Southern Water's geographical region including the Isle of Wight, said Galliford Try.
“The appointment demonstrates our growing capabilities in asset optimisation as clients increasingly look to improve existing facilities and processes,” said Galliford Try chief executive Bill Hocking.
