Conroy Gold and Natural Resources PLC shares shone in early trading, climbing 10% to 19.9p, after the company told investors it discovered a new gold target in County Monaghan.
This, Conroy said, alongside a recent discovery of a gold target in County Armagh, has led to the identification of a second gold trend in the Longford-Down Massif.
“The identification of a new gold trend in the Longford-Down Massif is a further step forward in relation to the very extensive new gold district discovered by the company,” said chairman Richard Conroy.
Assay results from gold-in-soil sampling on prospecting licence 4554 in Monaghan have yielded values greater than 10 parts per billion gold (Au) over an area of 1.5km by 1.1km.
