Reckitt, Flutter and Haleon in Thursday’s broker spotlight

City analysts were mostly in reaction mode on Thursday as the square-mile’s CFA’d scribes continued to digest what has been a busy week of trading updates and results in London’s mid-cap segment.

Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC (LSE:RKT, ETR:3RB) was tipped as a buy, at Royal Bank of Canada, so long as management execute on its plan to ‘normalise’ in the coming months – that means no more write-offs and an altogether steadier few months of trading.

Elsewhere, UBS and Peel Hunt reckoned Paddy Power parent Flutter Entertainment PLC (LSE:FLTR) is still worth a punt after a ‘mixed bag’ of a results statement, and, Jefferies asserted that “technical problems” would likely leave Haleon PLC (LSE:HLN, NYSE:HLN) on the end of downgrades later in 2023 (perhaps that’s motivation enough for today’s dividend news).
