EQTEC and partners continue to discuss options for Deeside waste-to-fuel project

EQTEC PLC (AIM:EQT) said it is continuing to discuss "constructive options" with its partners to move forward on the Deeside waste-to-gas/fuel project.

In December, the AIM-listed company and Logik Developments, which have 6.27 hectares of land adjacent to a Toyota engine plant in north Wales, ended talks with a proposed investor as terms of a deal could not be agreed.

David Palumbo, chief executive of EQTEC, said the company is “highly committed” to the project and supporting Toyota with a clean solution for waste management and energy generation.

“Funding the project remains a primary focus and we believe that working with Logik and our other partners will help us achieve our objective.”

He said investors would be updated as the project develops.
