NetScientific investee PDS Biotechnology making ‘excellent’ progress on cancer treatment, say WH Ireland analysts

Investment analysts at WH Ireland have responded positively to NetScientific PLC (AIM:NSCI)’s Monday announcement that its portfolio company PDS Biotechnology Corporation (NASDAQ:PDSB) completed a critical Type-B meeting with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The meeting paved the way for a pivotal study of a combination therapy using PDS0101, PDS0301, and an FDA-approved immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) for the treatment of recurrent/metastatic head and neck cancer caused by human papillomavirus (HPV+) that is resistant to ICI treatment.

WH Ireland analysts suggest that PDS is making “excellent” progress across its Phase-II programmes with “very favourable survival trends” of 21 months median versus three to four months with standard of care.

“PDS is well funded and is advancing towards initiating a registration study that can de-risk the investment case, and potentially crystallise value, as well as answer the need in a fast-growing HPV+ cancer patient pool for an improvement on standard of care,” said WH Ireland.

Risk-based some-of-the-parts analysis remains unchanged implying a fair value of 300p per share.
