White Rock Minerals Ltd (ASX:WRM, OTCQX:WRMCF) has unearthed “spectacular” high-grade gold intercepts in underground drive development at the Woods Point Gold Project in Victoria, with eight results above 34 g/t gold.
“We are excited by the latest batch of assays from our Woods Point development, which demonstrate the high-grade material that is hosted there, passed over by previous historical mining,” White Rock Minerals executive director Simon Finnis said.
“This shows that we are not just a remnant mining operation; these results give us confidence in the drilling program to guide us, and of what is yet to be discovered.”
High-grade assay results
Drilling at McNally’s generated results from 10 consecutive faces within Woods Point underground development (some assays still pending), results include:
- 0.3 metres at 423 g/t gold;
- 0.7 metres at 60.4 g/t;
- 0.3 metres at 61.1 g/t;
- 0.3 metres at 35.4 g/t;
- 0.4 metres at 28.2 g/t;
- 0.4 metres at 29.6 g/t;
- 0.4 metres at 25.5 g/t; and
- 0.4 metres at 18.6 g/t.
At the Dickenson reef, White Rock encountered two shorter intervals of high-grade gold, with results including:
- 3.3 metres at 78.9 g/t gold;
- 0.7 metres at 52.2 g/t;
- 0.8 metres at 82.3 g/t; and
- 0.5 metres at 222 g/t.
White Rock’s focus remains on developing the McNally’s and Dickenson’s Reefs, preparing to provide medium-term feed for the company’s processing plant.
The company says the ramp-up to steady-state gold production at Woods Point is progressing well, and production is increasing.
