Fireweed Metals Corp (TSX-V:FWZ, OTCQB:FWEDF) has announced additional results from the 2022 drill program at the Boundary Zone at its 100%-owned Macmillan Pass zinc-lead-silver project in Canada's Yukon Territory, which included 105 metres (m) of 8.4% zinc and 12.1 grams per tonne (g/t) silver starting from surface as well as 12.8m of 24.9% zinc and 41.7 g/t silver.
The mineral exploration company said all holes completed hit zinc mineralization and a new stratiform zone in NB22-018 returned 8m of 11.5% zinc, 1.7% lead, and 61 g/t silver.
“Boundary Main Zone continues to impress with not only the wide tenor of mineralization but also with high-grade intervals,” Fireweed Metals CEO Brandon Macdonald said in a statement.

“Equally important is the discovery of a new stratiform zone where we expect to see good continuity of mineralization consistent with similar zones at Tom, Jason and Boundary West,” he added.
Macdonald also noted that with a large drill campaign planned for the summer, the company is looking forward to testing the extent of mineralization in these zones.
Fireweed added that results from the last five holes from the Boundary Zone and nine holes from the Tom deposit are pending.
