Lithium Energy extends success at Solaroz Project in Argentina with further lithium brine strikes

Lithium Energy Ltd (ASX:LEL) continues to find success at its flagship Solaroz Lithium Brine Project in Argentina, in the heart of South America’s world-renowned Lithium Triangle.

The battery minerals company has once again encountered significant intersections of highly conductive brines from ongoing diamond drilling to lower depths.

Drilling of the second and third holes has now been completed, with logging underway to determine the porosity and specific yield for geological modelling and future resource estimation.

Initial success

A maiden diamond drill hole also uncovered significant intersections of the highly conductive brines.

These diamond holes are part of Lithium Energy’s 10-hole, 5,000-metre drilling program at the Solaroz Project.

Drilling at the fourth and fifth holes on the Olaroz Salar is expected to commence shortly.

About the company

The Solaroz Project, in which Lithium Energy owns 90%, comprises 12,000 hectares of highly prospective lithium mineral concessions in the Salar de Olaroz Basin in north-west Argentina.

The project is directly adjacent to or principally surrounded by mineral concessions being developed into production by Allkem Ltd and Lithium Americas Corporation.

Aside from the Solaroz Project, Lithium Energy is developing the 100%-owned Burke Graphite Project in Queensland.

The Burke Project contains a high-grade graphite deposit, presents the company with an opportunity for exposure to the anticipated strong growth in demand for graphite and its related products.
