Aldi partners with DoorDash for home delivery in the US

DoorDash, an American food delivery service, has partnered with Aldi to bring instant delivery to US customers.

The service will be available to customers who live in one of the 38 states where the supermarket chain operates, with over 2,100 locations.

Consumers can shop for their groceries including fresh produce, meat, seafood, dairy, bread and household essentials.

“By partnering with DoorDash, we can conveniently bring our award-winning, fresh and affordable groceries to even more of our customers’ doors with the click of a button,” said Scott Patton, vice president of national buying at Aldi, in a statement issued by DoorDash.

Since its launch in 2020, DoorDash said that Aldi has been one of its consumers’ most requested grocers.

All participating Aldi stores will be available on DashPass, DoorDash’s membership program that offers US$0 delivery fees.

DashPass members can enjoy these benefits on all eligible orders of US$35 or more from Aldi, according to a statement.

“Our partnership with ALDI provides customers access to the retailer’s affordable staples and cult favorites with the speed and reliability of DoorDash,” said Fuad Hannon, vice president of new verticals at DoorDash.
