Tonix signs agreement with UMB to use monoclonal antibodies in preventing heart transplant rejection

Tonix Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:TNXP) CEO Seth Lederman joins Natalie Stoberman from the Proactive newsroom to share its new research agreement with University of Maryland, Baltimore, to study the TNX-1500 monoclonal antibody for the prevention of rejection in heart xenograft transplantation in animals.

TNX-1500 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that interacts with the CD40-ligand, which is also known as CD154. TNX-1500 is being developed for the prevention of allograft and xenograft rejection, for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and for the prevention of graft-versus-host disease after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
