Shares in Science in Sport PLC (AIM:SIS), the performance nutrition company, jumped 8% to 13.5p following a pre-close trading update in which it confirmed revenue growth of 1.5%.
Revenue in the year ended 31 December 2022 was £63.5mln compared to £62.7mln the year earlier, which was broadly in line with expectations, according to a statement.
The company said it is “optimistic” about the prospects for 2023, with macro factors alleviating.
“Retail in all regions is in line with our expectations for growth, and the UK had a strong start to the year," the company said, adding that margins are "strongly improved" and "a second wave of price increases beginning to contribute”.
