Moho Resources Ltd (ASX:MOH) welcomes heritage and rebate news from its nickel sulphide exploration program at the Dukes Nickel prospect, part of the regional Silver Swan North Project, some 10 kilometres northwest of the Silver Swan nickel mine and 50 kilometres north-northeast of Kalgoorlie, WA.
No impediment to exploration
A heritage survey has established that there are no sacred, ritual, burial or ceremonial Aboriginal sites within the designated project area at the Dukes nickel prospect, and that heritage considerations should not be an impediment to Moho’s exploration activities proceeding.
No historical drilling or electromagnetic (EM) surveys have been reported for the Dukes prospect.
The company conducted surface geochemical sampling on E27/613 and E27/626 in 2020 as part of a project-wide gold exploration program and anomalous nickel results were announced in September 2021.
At this time, Moho welcomed multiple zones of more than 100 parts per million (ppm) nickel within a broader anomalous zone roughly 3 kilometres in length.
Maximum nickel values of 2460, 1150 and 951 ppm nickel were reported, with the anomalies having a strong coincidence with an interpreted metamorphosed ultramafic rock unit.
Survey planned; R&D rebate incoming
Moho has now planned a surface electromagnetic (EM) survey is planned over the full length of the interpreted Dukes ultramafic unit.
A program of works has been submitted to the Department of Mines, Industry, Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) for follow up reverse circulation (RC) drilling.
The company expects its coffers to be boosted following receipt of an R&D rebate from government.
What’s next?
Moho plans to review pending assay results of the preliminary RC drill program, undertake a planned EM survey and undertake a follow-up RC drill campaign.
