Brewdog enters Budweiser JV in China - Market Report

The FTSE 100 opened higher this morning, kicking off the week by remaining in record territory above the 8,000 mark.

Property website Rightmove have announced that house prices were largely unchanged in February, rising just £14 to an average of £362,452 during the month.

Britain’s largest supermarket Tesco is reviewing its £1bn, five-million customer strong banking arm, and may even sell it off entirely. Craft beer firm Brewdog is looking at expanding into China, where it plans to produce its drinks and open more bars in partnership with Budweiser. Chief executive James Watt says “we don’t want to be owned by ‘big beer’ but we do want to become a global beer business”

Elsewhere, Facebook and Instagram owner Meta is rolling out a new paid subscription service in Australia and New Zealand this week, following Twitter in charging users for a blue tick verification stamp.

And in small caps, Hydrogen Utopia International shares rose more than 4% after announcing a new strategic partnership with Ethical Fashion Group to turn non-recyclable waste plastic into green fuels.
