Tempus Resources uncovers new gold zone amid further bonanza and high-grade results from Elizabeth

Tempus Resources Ltd (ASX:TMR, TSX-V:TMRR) has intersected a potentially new gold zone amid the discovery of more high-grade gold, including bonanza grades, from drilling at its Elizabeth Project in southern British Columbia.

The company released assays of the final seven drill holes from the 2022 drilling program, with six extending the known strike length of the No. 9 Vein to more than 250 metres and the Blue Vein to in excess of 285 metres.

A highlight result was 5.2 g/t gold over 6.6 metres from 214.1 metres, including 35.0 g/t over 1.63 metres from 216.75 metres.

One of the holes intersected high-grade gold which indicates a potential new vein set between the SW Vein and the West Vein.

“Extremely pleased”

Tempus Resources president and chief executive officer Jason Bahnsen said: “The final drilling results from the 2022 drilling program released today provide further evidence of the extension of the high-grade gold zone associated with the No. 9 Vein to over 250 metres and the Blue Vein to over 285 metres.

“In addition, we are extremely pleased to announce the potential discovery of a new vein set located midway between the SW Vein and the West Vein evidenced by drill hole EZ-22-24 that intersected high-grade gold, 14.3 g/t over 1.10 metres.”

Extending strike

Tempus completed 10 drill holes at the No. 9 Vein aimed at extending the strike of historical workings to the southwest.

Several of the No. 9 Vein drill holes intersected wide zones of quartz veining, including three holes showing visible gold.

Notable intersections include:

  • EZ-22-28 6.6 metres grading 5.2 g/t gold from 214.10 metres, including 35 g/t over 1.63 metres from 216.75 metres;
  • EZ-22-23 13.7 metres grading 5.6 g/t from 141.1 metres, including 5.4 g/t over 0.7 metres from 144 metres and 24 g/t over 2.78 metres from 152.02 metres; and
  • EZ-22-35 1.28 metres grading 9.5 g/t from 129.18 metres.

Other discoveries

Drilling at the Blue Vein intersected multiple zones of bonanza and high-grade gold mineralisation, including 3.9 g/t gold over 1.57 metres from 194.32 metres at drill-hole EZ-22-35, including a 0.17-metre sub-section which graded 35.2 g/t gold, and 24.0 g/t gold over 0.25 metres at EZ-22-36.

Over at the West Hanging Wall Vein, a potentially new gold zone about 120 metres east of the SW Vein was discovered during drilling at EZ-22-24.

Assays for this drill hole included 14.3 g/t gold over 1.1 metres from 82.9 metres.

This new vein set will be the target of further drilling in the 2023 program.

Investors have responded positively with shares as much as 34.6% higher on the ASX to A$0.074 intraday.
