Terra Uranium Ltd (ASX:T92) has kicked off a 100-hole reverse circulation (RC) drilling program as part of its maiden exploration program, which targets the discovery of major uranium deposits under cover at the 100% owned Pasfield and Parker projects in Canada's prolific Athabasca Basin.
There has also been a flurry of ground surveying activity. Data from historical drilling at Pasfield has been retrieved and is highly anomalous and proximal to intriguing Pasfield Lake geophysical results.
The winter drilling program will test for alteration and geochemical signatures in subsurface sandstones above gravity, magnetics and ANT passive seismic anomalies coincident with very strong ZTEM and VTEM conductors in the basement and overlying sandstones.
Project-level ZTEM and VTEM airborne geophysics have now been conducted over the entire Athabasca portfolio, while VTEM has been completed on HawkRock (711 line kilometres), as well as follow-up on Pasfield and Parker’s ZTEM basement conductors for enhanced sandstone imaging (889 line-kilometres).
Helium as pathfinder
The company plans to take helium samples from selected holes. Helium is a highly mobile uranium decay daughter product and exploration pathfinder under cover.
T92 will use the integrated results from the drilling with ground electromagnetics and interpretation of now-completed airborne geophysics to target deeper diamond drilling.
To facilitate the exploration, T92 has also completed ice road and Pasfield Camp construction after securing exploration permits.

Data processing is now underway and an update on this will follow.
Six months into listing
