PolarX Ltd (ASX:PXX) has leveraged a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Humboldt Range Project’s Star Canyon prospect to gain a greater understanding of the geological structures controlling gold mineralisation in the area.
The company’s drilling encountered extensive low-grade gold mineralisation associated with sulphides throughout the program, revealing a concealed ‘normal’ fault below the bonanza gold vein previously identified in the hanging wall and foot wall of the prospect.

Follow-up planning
PolarX has begun the planning process for a follow-up drilling program targeting the bonanza gold veins in the hanging wall and footwall of the Star Canyon prospect, a priority for PXX over the regional lower-grade mineralisation.
The company will undertake induced polarisation (IP) and airborne electromagnetic (AEM) surveys across the Black Canyon and Fourth of July prospect at Humboldt in the near future, looking to add additional bulk tonnage to the project within the prospective Rochester Rhyolite Formation.
