11:55am: Uni-Select (TSX:UNS), 1111 Exploration shares make notable gains
Uni-Select (TSX:UNS) shares rose 7% to $43.50 on Friday after the distributor of automotive refinish, industrial coatings and related products announced that 2022 sales increased by 11.7% in constant currency terms, Adjusted EBITDA improved by 26.1% to exceed $185.0 million and all three business units achieved higher year-over-year adjusted EBITDA margins, driven primarily by organic growth.
As well, shares of BioHarvest Sciences Inc. (CSE:BHSC, OTC:CNVCF) continued to move higher Friday, up 6% to $0.26 following a 20% gain on Thursday, as the biotech firm said it has partnered with former National Football League (NFL) wide receiver Yo Murphy to supply its VINIA nutraceutical supplement to aspiring football players preparing for this month’s NFL Scouting Combine and the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft.
1111 Exploration Corp (CSE:ELVN), meanwhile, reported that Jennifer Shaigec has joined the company as a strategic business advisor to assist with building awareness of the company, strategy and execution, and securing new investment. 1111 Exploration stock moved up 27% to $0.14 following the announcement.
