Rumble Resources Ltd (ASX:RTR) welcomes the latest round of high-grade zinc-lead RC drilling results from the Tonka-Navajoh prospect, part of the growing Earaheedy Base Metals Project, 110 kilometres north of Wiluna in WA.
The company has picked out multiple new gravity low targets that may represent new high-grade feeder faults within the 11-kilometre Tonka-Navajoh mineralised footprint, along with more than 9 kilometres of undrilled strike southeast of the Tonka-Navajoh deposit, the newly defined Navajoh Southeast Trend.
The company has analysed a recent airborne gravity survey, which highlights a strong association between gravity lows and higher-grade zinc-lead feeder faults at the Tonka and Navajoh prospects.
Additionally, surface geochemistry along the Navajoh Southeast Trend returned strong continuity of zinc-lead in soil anomalism over 9 kilometres of untested strike, while airborne gravity highlighted numerous gravity low targets that potentially represent multiple new high-grade feeder faults along strike.
The company plans to imminently drill-test these new feeder targets, which contribute to more than 11 kilometres of zinc-lead mineralisation now defined at the Tonka-Navajoh prospect, a 37% increase in length. The area remains open along strike and down dip.
Colorado Feeder Fault
The Colorado Feeder Fault continues to deliver high-grade results including:
- 8 metres at 5.64% zinc and lead from 213 metres, including 3 metres at 11.94 % from 214 metres;
- 8 metres at 3.90% zinc and lead from 212 metres including 2 metres at 7.13% from 214 metres; and
- 3 metres at 7.08% zinc and lead from 129 metres.
A newly defined mineralised feeder structure, 800 metres northwest of the Colorado Feeder Fault has returned 5 metres at 5.38% zinc and lead from 97 metres.
The Magazine Feeder Fault has also delivered further promising results including:
- 8 metres at 3.34% zinc and lead from 58 metres, including 4 metres at 5.60% from 58 metres; and
- 5 metres at 3.85% zinc and lead from 85 metres, including 3 metres at 6% from 85 metres.
What’s next?
The company is waiting on the results of reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Chinook west extension.
Drilling has been completed ahead of a maiden JORC mineral resource estimate, which is now due to be reported in the first half of 2023.
More drilling is planned for this year, which will continue to test and extend high-grade feeder structures at the Chinook, Tonka and Navajoh prospects.
The company also plans to target newly interpreted high-grade feeder targets along the untested 15-kilometre Sweetwater and 9-kilometre Navajoh southeast trends.
On the metallurgical front, there are plans to further improve the flotation performance following ‘exceptional’ sighter metallurgy previously reported.
Further variability work will be done to confirm the simple and conventional flowsheet, along with beneficiation – dense media separation and/or ore sorting – once the required volumes of material have arrived from site and a suitable composite is prepared.
