American Resources sees its ReElement Technologies subsidiary join top battery technology body NAATBatt

American Resources Corporation (NASDAQ:AREC), which supplies rare earth, critical elements, and advanced carbon materials to the infrastructure and electrification markets, revealed that it has joined NAATBatt International (NAATBatt), the top battery technology trade association in North America, through its wholly-owned subsidiary ReElement Technologies LLC.

In a statement, ReElement CCO Chris Moorman said: "NAATBatt is an excellent organization for ReElement to showcase its technologies and interact with the top players in the battery marketplace.”

“Our battery materials refining technology enables low cost, high purity refining of end-of-life batteries, virgin ores and manufacturing waste back to battery grade specs.”

Moorman noted that as the company further rolls out its commercial scale facilities throughout the US and international markets, it has built a business that is battery chemistry agnostic so it can work with LFP, NMC, lithium metal, solid state battery technologies.

ReElement is laser focused on the domestic supply chain for rare earth and battery elements in the electrified economy. It has proven that its patented chromatographic separation and purification is “a low-cost, scalable, flexible and environmentally safe replacement” to the existing “environmentally and socially toxic alternatives” used around the globe for rare earth and critical element separation and purification, said American Resources.

As the company executes and scales the production at its facilities, it will significantly reduce the US dependency on foreign countries for the supply of these critical raw materials while also creating a true circular life-cycle solution, it added.

American Resources has a growing portfolio of assets in the Central Appalachian basin of eastern Kentucky and southern West Virginia, where premium quality metallurgical carbon and rare earth mineral deposits are concentrated.
