Fireweed Metals Corp (TSX-V:FWZ, OTCQB:FWEDF) has announced additional results from the 2022 drill program at Boundary West at its 100%-owned Macmillan Pass zinc-lead-silver project in Canada's Yukon Territory, which included 56.5 metres (m) of 6.3% zinc, 0.4% lead, and 36.4 grams per tonne (g/t) silver, as well as 11.6m of 10.9% zinc and 43.5 g/t silver, in an infill hole within the massive sulphide zone.
The mineral exploration company said several step-out holes successfully intersected stratiform mineralization, massive sulphides and Howard Pass style mineralization, extending the mineralization at Boundary West.
“These results from the 2022 Boundary West drilling program include several significant step-outs and demonstrate that the massive sulphide zone carries good grade and continuity,” Fireweed Metals CEO Brandon Macdonald said in a statement.

“We hit another intersection in the Howard’s Pass style mineralization in older rock units for which we see further potential across the property,” he added.
Macdonald also noted that results are pending from many of the 2022 drill holes that intersected wide intervals of intense sphalerite-galena mineralization at Boundary Main and the Tom deposit.
As well, Fireweed said it is preparing for its largest-ever drill program with a cash position of C$38.6 million.
