Shares in specialist STEM recruiter Gattaca PLC (AIM:GATC) fell around 8.6% after warning that permanent hiring had shown signs of weakness since the turn of the year.
Chief executive Matthew Wragg said: “As we enter the second half, we are conscious of softening in some external sectors, and perm is likely to be impacted by a level of restraint around hiring, shifting candidate sentiment and, as such, slightly longer hiring cycles.”
Group net fee income is expected to be £22.7mln in six months to 31 January 2023, up from £21.6mln a year ago with double-digit growth in core sectors.
The firm expects to report statutory net cash at 31 January of £21mln compared to £12mln at 31 July 2022.
Shares fell 8.6% in London on Wednesday to 82.72p.
