Shares in LPA Group PLC (AIM:LPA) jumped 9.8% to 84p in morning trade after the maker of LED lighting, electronic and electro-mechanical systems announced a new contract and a record order book.
In a statement, the company said it won a £5.3mln order to supply electro-mechanical products to the UK rail industry, taking its order book to £34mln.
Sales under the new contract are expected to commence towards the end of the group's current financial year, the company said, adding that it remains on track to deliver full-year 2023 results in line with board expectations.
“Over the next two to three years this new business will provide good quality and consistent base load of standard product well suited to the skills and capabilities of the group,” LPA noted.
