Futura Medical PLC (AIM:FUM, OTC:FAMDF) has said it will present data on its MED3000 product at the European Society for Sexual Medicine Congress in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, which kicks off on Thursday, February 16, 2023.
MED3000 is a breakthrough gel formulation for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED), with a unique evaporative mode of action that is clinically proven to help men achieve an erection within 10 minutes.
The ‘highly positive’ data to be presented at ESSM has been previously reported.
Commercial efforts are aimed at promoting the gel as an over-the-counter treatment (OTC) for ED. In the US it would be the first OTC drug of its kind.
MED 3000 addresses the problem of side effects suffered by some men using traditional blue pills.
“MED3000 has the required efficacy, speed of onset and a favourable safety profile consistent with an over-the-counter, use therapy,” said Ken James, Futura’s head of R&D in a statement.
“It will help address the needs of many men who for whatever reason are not treating their condition or are dissatisfied with their current treatment. We are excited at the prospect of bringing a truly unique and differentiated treatment option to the market," he added.
