The Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) has launched a new partnership program aimed at improving the cybersecurity posture of businesses and organisations across the country.
The program seeks to increase the resilience of Australian businesses and organisations to cyber-attacks by facilitating information sharing and collaboration with key industry players.
Encouragingly, the new collaboration will bring together partners from across the public and private sectors, including government agencies, critical infrastructure providers and large corporations, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises.

Critical component
According to ACSC head Abigail Bradshaw, the partnership program is a critical component of the government's cybersecurity strategy.
"Cybersecurity is a team sport and the Partnership Program is about bringing together a strong team to tackle the threats we face.
"By working together, we can leverage our collective expertise and resources to better protect Australians from cyber-attacks," said Bradshaw.
The ACSC partnership program will provide a range of benefits to its partners, including access to threat intelligence, technical advice and assistance, and training and awareness materials.
The program will also offer opportunities for partners to collaborate on research and development projects and participate in joint cybersecurity exercises and simulations.
Cyber threats on the rise
The launch of the partnership program comes at a critical time for Australia with cyber threats increasing in frequency and sophistication.
The country has been on high alert since last year after a barrage of cyber-attacks it received across several critical infrastructures, compromising sensitive information of millions of its citizens.
Looking ahead, the program represents a significant step forward in the country's cybersecurity efforts.
By bringing together key industry players to collaborate and share resources, it has the potential to improve the cybersecurity posture of Australian businesses and organisations, and better protect the country against cyber threats.
