Cantex Mine Development stock climbs on germanium discovery plus more daily small cap movers

Mineralization with “very high” germanium values sparked shares of Cantex Mine Development Corp Thursday plus other big percentage movers on news from the small and micro cap space

4:05pm: Cantex Mine Development (TSX:CD) shares add to gains late afternoon

Cantex Mine Development closed up 33% at $0.20, while Datametrex AI rose 15% to $0.15, Torr Metals (TSX-V:TMET) finished 6% lower to $0.08, and Prime Meridian Resources ended up 10% at $0.055.

11:50am: Cantex Mine Development (TSX:CD), Prime Meridian Resources shares make big gains

Cantex Mine Development (TSX:CD) Corp shares shot up 23% to $0.185 on Thursday after the mineral properties explorer provided an update on the Main Zone at its 100% owned North Rackla claim block in Canada’s Yukon Territory, saying analyses of sphalerite (zinc sulphide) mineralization show very high germanium values.

As well, shares of Datametrex AI Limited (TSX-V:DM, OTCQB:DTMXF) gained 15% to $0.15 as the technology-focused company with exposure to artificial intelligence (AI) said its wholly-owned AI subsidiary Nexalogy Environics Inc is incorporating its new innovative AI product, AnalyticsGPT (Analytics Generative Pre-Trained Transformer) with its AI driven mental health screening tool.

Torr Metals (TSX-V:TMET) Inc, meanwhile, reported assay results from 113 rock grab samples collected over the Dalvenie Zone during the 2022 field exploration program, which included the highest gold grade ever collected at-surface within the Latham Project area at 14.15 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 4.31% copper, and 63.1 g/t silver. Torr Metals (TSX-V:TMET) stock moved up 12% to $0.115 following the announcement.

And, Prime Meridian Resources Corp (TSXV:PMR) shares rose 40% to $0.07 on Thursday after the Mexico-focused exploration and development company announced that it has received the signed and notarized agreement for the option to purchase a 100% interest in the Cuatro Hermanos Porphyry Copper Project located in Sonora, Mexico.
