The Good Shroom (TSX-V:MUSH) Co Inc announced it is launching a new THC-infused beef jerky, OG Jerk, in Quebec cannabis stores.
OG Jerk represents a new product category for Montreal-based Good Shroom, which operates a portfolio of brands including traditional cannabis and beverage products.
In a statement, Good Shroom said it had received its first purchase order for OG Jerk of around $24,000. The firm said it is expected to receive replenishment orders every one to two weeks in addition to its other hash, hash-infused joints and cannabis flower SKUs.

The total Quebec purchase order value for this week, all products combined, was nearly $95,000, according to a release from the company.
In Quebec, the government limits the choice of edibles to products which they judge would not appeal to children such as cookies and candies which has drastically limited the choices, according to Shroom’s CEO Eric Ronsse, who added that the limitation presents an opportunity as there are no well-performing edibles at present.
“As the only beef jerky in Quebec, we expect that such a commonly consumed savory snack, now infused with THC, will appeal to many consumers,” Ronsse said. “Concurrent with Superbowl weekend, we also feel it's an appropriate launch week."
OG Jerk contains 60 grams of beef jerky (2 x 30-gram vacuum-sealed sachets) infused with a total of 9 mg of THC (2 x 4.5 mg of THC vacuum-sealed sachets) which permits the consumer to consume in doses accordingly.
