Live Company Group PLC (AIM:LVCG) said its sports and entertainment arm has organised the Cape Town stopover in an update on the Ocean Race.
According to a statement, the second leg of the Ocean Race will see boats reach Cape Town on 13 February, where visitors are being welcomed to see the teams arrive in the city.
Boats will dock at the V&A Waterfront, where they will remain until leg 3 of the race on 26 February, when they set off for Itajai, Brazil.
Ocean Live Park opened yesterday and will run until 26 February, hosting interactive exhibits, family events, live entertainment, water sports and sailing.
"We are delighted to once again be a part of this fantastic endurance event,” said Live Company chairman David Ciclitira.
“Being able to participate - even in a small way - in an event that draws attention to the state of our oceans and the need to restore and protect them before it is too late."
The ocean race is often described as the longest and toughest professional sporting eventing in the world, with teams racing in yachts across the globe, visiting nine locations on the way, including Cape Town and The Hague.
