11:50am: F3 Uranium, Harfang Exploration shares advance sharply

F3 Uranium Corp (TSXV:FUU) shares climbed 13% to $0.345 on Wednesday after the uranium project generator and exploration company announced results from the first eight drill holes of the 20-hole winter drill program at the JR Zone on the Patterson Lake North Property in the Athabasca Basin, which included 14.0 metres (m) total composite mineralization with 4.0m of greater than 40,000 counts per second (cps), including 0.5m of ‘offscale’, or greater than 65,535 cps, a 30m stepout from the discovery hole.

As well, shares of Harfang Exploration Inc (TSXV:HAR) surged 23% to $0.295 as the mineral exploration company said it continues to expand, through staking by map designation, its portfolio of lithium projects in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Québec.

Western Magnesium Corp (TSXV:WMG), meanwhile, reported that its commercial pilot plant is ready to move into the final stage of continuous metal production.

The Washington DC-based company, which aims to be a low-cost producer of magnesium, noted that “all necessary mechanical upgrades” identified during the initial optimization reactor runs have been completed, proving “successful metal processing capabilities.” Western Magnesium stock moved up 15% to $0.115 following the announcement.
