Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM) has fielded high-grade assay results from extensional reverse circulation (RC) drill programs at Crusader-Templar and Branches prospects within the Wallbrook Gold Project, 140 kilometres northeast of Kalgoorlie in WA.
Assay results were also received from regional aircore drilling at the MC4.1 and MC3.1 prospects, as well as from initial soil sampling grids.

Highlights
The company welcomed the following results from the 3,210-metre, 17-hole drill program at Crusader-Templar:
- 10 metres at 5.80 g/t gold within 13 metres at 4.53 g/t from 90 metres;
- 5 metres at 8.93 g/t within 12 metres at 3.79 g/t from 122 metres; and
- 17 metres at 2.32 g/t within 28 metres at 1.57 g/t from 61 metres.
The recent drilling will be incorporated into a mineral resource estimate (MRE), which is on track for delivery by the end of the March quarter.
Over at the Branches prospect, where an extensional 5,562-metre, 43-hole RC drill program was conducted, the company fielded:
- 6 metres at 5.57 g/t gold within 9 metres at 3.80 g/t from 169 metres;
- 2 metres at 5.19 g/t within 12 metres at 1.53 g/t from 86 metres;
- 4 metres at 2.85 g/t within 10 metres at 1.33 g/t from 110 metres in the most northerly line drilled; and
- 12 metres at 1.84 g/t within 17 metres at 1.39 g/t from 25 metres in the most southerly line drilled.
At MC4.1 target, a maiden regional aircore program defined an anomalous corridor 1.7 kilometres long by 200 metres wide. Results include:
- 8 metres at 4.00 g/t gold within 21 metres at 1.69 g/t from 24 metres;
- 4 metres at 2.58 g/t within 9 metres at 1.49 g/t from 16 metres;
- 4 metres at 2.10 g/t within 8 metres at 1.14 g/t from 24 metres; and
- 3 metres at 2.52 g/t within 7 metres at 1.61 g/t from 43 metres to the end of hole).
The company has also kicked off a program of regional target soil sampling. At target MC3.2, soil sampling grid results have defined a new aircore drill target.
Added to drill footprints
Nexus managing director Andy Tudor said: “The Crusader-Templar and Branches prospects extensional RC drill program has yielded great results that have added to both of the prospects’ respective drill footprints.
“We continue to be on track for the Crusader-Templar MRE to be completed by the end of the March quarter.
"The aircore drill program testing of regional target MC4.1 also provided some great results and is now ready for RC drill testing.
“A number of soil grids were also completed with a new regional prospect MC3.2 being identified and recommended for aircore drill testing.”
Next steps
Company geologists are undertaking an interpretation and review exercise within the currently defined mineralised envelope to effectively define mineralised zones of highest economic potential for future follow-up drilling.
Further extensions to the corridor are also being reviewed as part of a broader aircore drilling program.
This is a known fertile structural setting implicated in controlling many of the neighbouring gold deposits. Ground truthing and drill program planning of the anomaly is underway.
