ECR encounters high-grade gold at Creswick

ECR Minerals PLC (AIM:ECR) has recovered high gold grades from recent in-situ rock chip sampling at the Creswick project in Victoria, Australia.

The company is exploring a number of parallel gold mineralisation trends that are believed to extend 10 kilometres north-east from the Nerrina Goldfields at Ballarat.

Among the highlights were 0.7 metres (m) at 189.42 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 0.25m at 441.23 g/t, and 0.25m at 24.92 g/t.

“I am delighted to see these results from rock chip sampling,” said ECR chief executive Andrew Haythorpe.

“Along with the retest of the 2021 Creswick drill core and the parallel gold system identified at Davey Road and South Davey workings, this work continues to support the directors’ belief that Creswick could host an extended gold system. The company’s field team has remained on the ground at the property to continue further sampling.”

Soil sampling is already underway at the Mills Reef area, with further work planned.

The priority areas for sampling will be along strike and the projected up-dip of mineralised veins sampled in existing adits at Creswick.
