DeepVerge names new CFO and announces contract win

DeepVerge PLC named Andrew Waters as its new chief financial officer, while also announcing a contract win for its subsidiary.

DeepVerge said Waters brings “significant experience” as a CFO in the healthcare and life sciences field.

There are further plans to appoint a non-executive director to strengthen the board, DeepVerge said in a statement.

“As we seek to grow the company through a combination of organic growth, joint ventures and collaborations, Andrew is a welcome addition to the board with his relevant international financial and commercial experience,” said interim chief executive Dr Nigel Burton.

In a separate stock exchange announcement, the environmental and life sciences group said Glanaco, which it acquired in March last year, secured a €10mln (£9.3mln) order from an existing Central Asian customer.

As part of the contract, Glanaco will design, assemble and supply multi-function mobile equipment used for cleaning, decontaminating, de-icing and salting streets and public areas, a statement said.

£3.2mln of the revenue is comprised of a design licensed to the customer, which was included in last year’s income.

The remaining £6.1mln of revenue is derived from the production and delivery of 100 units of equipment, which are contracted to be delivered in 2023.

Additionally, DeepVerge announced that Fionan Murray has stepped down from the board with immediate effect.

Murray is leaving the board to concentrate on maximising the value of Skin Trust Lab and Labskin Division, DeepVerge’s consumer skin subsidiaries, during his notice period.
