e-therapeutics files four new patent applications

e-therapeutics PLC, the drug discovery company that leverages computational power and biological data to find gene silencing (RNAi) medicines, has filed four new patent applications.

The legal protection is designed to secure its cutting-edge gene targets, disease-relevant biology and proprietary siRNA stabilisation chemistries.

"We will continue to drive progress, keep up the momentum of invention, and safeguard our rapidly growing intellectual property portfolio," said Ali Mortazavi, chief executive of e-therapeutics.

This announcement comes after a busy year of IP generation for the company, which filed a series of patent applications to protect 13 inventions in 2022.

The new patents add to e-therapeutics' growing patent portfolio, showcasing the company's ‘intense rate of innovation’ in the development of its computational-driven pipeline of RNAi drug candidates across various therapeutic areas, investors were told.

In London, e-Therapeutics shares traded positively rising just over 3% in Tuesday's deals changing hands at 17.37p.
