Oxford BioDynamics PLC (AIM:OBD) (OBD) rallied over 17% on Monday following a promising update on its Prostate Screening EpiSwitch (PSE) blood test.
Peer-reviewed journal Cancers reported a 94% accuracy rate in a piece detailing the results of a multi-institutional clinical study comprising experts from Oxford BioDynamics, Imperial College London, University of East Anglia and Imperial College NHS Trust.
Principal investigator Mathias Winkler, consultant urologist and surgeon at Charing Cross Hospital and Imperial College London, said: "The EpiSwitch PSE results from this study have significant clinical relevance. We are looking forward to working with OBD to complete all the follow-up steps introducing it to clinical practice, bringing this valuable EpiSwitch tool into the hands of clinicians."
Shares were going for 17.95p with a market capitalisation of £256mln as of 9.30am, Monday 6 February.
