Ora Banda appoints new CFO for next stage of growth

Ora Banda Mining Ltd (ASX:OBM) will welcome a new chief financial officer in Gareth Jones after Tony Brazier stepped down from the position of CFO and joint company secretary, effective February 6, 2023 to pursue other opportunities.

Jones has more than 20 years of experience in financial, governance and operational leadership across a diverse range of companies and sectors and recently served as CFO at Austin Engineering (ASX:ANG) Limited.

Prior to that, he held various senior positions including director of finance and business services at St John of God Health Care and CFO and company secretary at Poseidon Nickel Ltd (ASX:POS, OTC:PSDNF).

Ora Banda managing director Luke Creagh said Jones was a valuable addition to the team with a strong commercial background and proven track record of delivery across a variety of sectors.

"Ora Banda is excited to have Gareth join the team. Gareth brings a wealth of experience and strong leadership skills to support Ora Banda as we enter the next stage of our growth and continue to deliver against our three-year strategy.”

Brazier played a key role

Brazier was with Ora Banda since the company relisted in 2019 and played a key role in supporting OBM through the relisting process, completion of the DFS and into production.

He will complete a handover period through to mid-March 2023.

“Tony has played an integral role and made significant contribution to the company over the past four years, from successfully supporting the relisting of the company, through completion of the DFS and into production. We thank Tony for his contribution and wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” Creagh said.
